About the photographer
Devika Rao started shooting weddings in 2014 after six years as a photojournalist, and it shows — the pictures people keep from a Frame & Light wedding tend to be the unposed ones. She works with a second shooter on every wedding and edits every frame herself, which is why delivery takes four weeks rather than four days. The studio in Fort is small, deliberately: two lights, one wall, and enough room to be comfortable. Most bookings come from people who were guests at a wedding she shot.
Kind words
We barely noticed them working, which was exactly what we wanted, and then the gallery arrived and every single moment we half-remembered was in it. Our mothers have both printed the same photograph.
We have used four studios for product work and this is the first time the images arrived already sized correctly for every marketplace. It saved our team about two days per shoot.
Devika understood the brief from one mood board and pushed back on the parts that would not have worked. The campaign ran for two seasons on that one shoot.
